Runner of the Year: Ryan Ensor
It was Ryan's first year running cross country and from the start of the season he had an immediate impact finishing every race this season as the Warrior's #1 runner. He ran a personal best of 17:40 for three miles in the second WCAL meet at Shoreline and finished #2 on the team's all-time list at the Mt. Sac Invitational just two days later.
Warrior Award: Dustin Laucella
Dustin Laucella stepped into a leadership this role and finished the season as the Warriors #2 runner. He set a personal best of 18:53 at the WCAL #2 race at Shoreline. His leadership and dedication was a major reason the team stepped up the second half of the season tying their best finish ever in WCAL history.
Most Improved: Andrew McCann
Andrew stepped up the 2010 season improving dramatically over last year. He was a scoring member of the Varsity team and ran a personal best of 19:22 at Shoreline. Most importantly he brought much needed maturity and experience to a youthful team. His leadership inspired the team to compete and steadily improve throughout the season.
Frosh-Soph Most Improved: Alex Ascencio
Alex had a breakthrough season last spring as he ran 2:14 for 800 meters as a freshman. He carried that momentum into this season where he was a major contributor on the varsity squad. He ran 19:13 at Shoreline and finished in the Warriors all-time Top 20 at Shoreline, Golden Gate Park and Mt. Sac.
Frosh-Soph Warrior Award: Nick Staub
Nick is a first year runner and at the start of the season the hilly three miles seemed daunting. Nick found his stride mid-season and stepped up to help the Varsity team the last half of the season, improving over 2 minutes from the start of the season.
