Gilroy, CA - The Lady Warriors competed at the Avis Kelley Invitational, Saturday finishing third in the team standings out of 40 teams. The field events continue to be dominant this season: While Elena Bruckner and Ronna Stone have solidified themselves as the favorites in the throws, Ronna's younger sister Ronika, a newcomer to the sport who just three weeks ago tried high jump for the first time, is quickly becoming one of the top ranked jumpers in the section.

Ronika cleared 5-4 Saturday, winning the high jump and now stands alone as the best high jumper in school history and top ranked high jumper in the WCAL.  Ronna Stone took home wins both the shot and discus, both in personal bests.

  • Athya Iese threw 33-8.5 to finish 3rd in the girls varsity division. The freshman is currently ranked #5 in the WCAL.
