Warriors Have Strong Showing at Arcadia Invitational

Arcadia, CA - The Warriors represented well at the Arcadia Invitational with multiple finalists, medalists and season bests.

The boys 4 x 100 meter relay team of D'Angelo McKenzie, Charlie Bostic, Javon Sturns and Nick Trofort came away with a third place finish in the day meet running 42.75 to win their heat. Their finish qualified them to compete in the Invitational race later that evening, facing many of the top ranked teams in the nation. From lane one the team came back to run 42.80.

Matt Weeks finished fourth in the triple jump with a personal best and CCS leading mark of 44-10. The field events were stellar: Dylan McCreery finished fifth with a season best 50-2 in the shot put. Max Moore finished with a season best 148-8 in the discus and Anna Maumalanga qualified for the finals finishing 8th in the discus with a mark of 123-5.

The 1600 Sprint Medley Relay team of Charlie Bostic, Nick Trofort, Alton Julian and Sam Cuevas finished in a school record 3:47.96. The boys Distance Medley relay finished in 11:23.14 and D'Angelo McKenzie finished the 110 hurdles with a mark of 15.12, respectably.
