Meet Highlights: Valley Christian @ Mitty

San Jose, CA - Valley Christian traveled to Mitty Wednesday competing in WCAL action. Varsity boys picked up their third win of the season defeating Mitty 86-46. It was a windy and tough day but 47 season bests were recorded on the day, including D'Angelo McKenzie lowering his school record to 15.58 in the 110 hurdles.

Meet Highlights:

• Charlie Bostic (11.13) and Nick Trofort (11.33) went 1-2 in the Varsity 100 meters and took advantage of a tail wind to record their best time this season.
• Jonathan Sum ran a personal best 16.54 and stands #4 all-time in school history.
• Valley Christian took worked together and took the top 4 places in the 1600 meters. Nedu Ndili (4:45), Joe Renati (4:46), Cameron Lockard (4:47) and Sam Cuevas (4:48) all finished within 3 seconds of each other.
• Max Moore remains undefeated in WCAL competition wining the boys discus (148-2). Dylan McCreery won the shot put.
• Matt Weeks was a three event winner on the day finishing first in the long jump, triple jump and 300 hurdles.
• Athena Iese won both the shot put and the discus.
• Katheryn Li finished 15-3.5 in the long jump and is #11 all-time. Freshman Yvonne Ma won the JV division with a personal best 14-10.5.
