Davis Hits Stride at Arcadia Invitational

Arcadia - Sean Davis hit his Stride at the Arcadia Invitational Saturday, lowering his own school record in a personal best time of 1:52.39.  Davis finished 6th in the invitational 800 meters which featured many of the top distance runners in the Nation.  He is currently the top ranked 800 meter runner in CCS, #2 in the State of California and 15th in the nation.

It was a fantastic day full of top results for the Warriors.  Here are some of the race highlights:
  • Byron Marshall finished 5th in the invitational 100 meters just off his personal best in 10.70 (+0.5).  Marshall, who will be playing football and running track for the University of Oregon next fall is currently ranked #4 in California at 100 meters.
  • Shelby Smallwood won her heat of the girls 100 meters in 12.29 to finish 15th overall in the seeded division.  She came back later in the day to finish 17th in the 200 meters seeded division in 25.37, just off of her personal best.  Smallwood is currently ranked 23rd in the State of California.
  • Kristin Sato jumped 17-11.5 into a slight headwind (-0.7) and finished 4th in the girls seeded division.  She is currently ranked 11th in California.
