Alumni News: Jennifer Bergman Hits NCAA & Olympic Trials Qualifier in 10,000 meters at Stanford Invitational

Jennifer Bergman, a two time All-America for the University of Arizona, ran a personal best by more than 25 seconds at the Stanford Invitational to finish the 10,000 meter race in 33:10, an Olympic Trials B standard and NCAA qualifier!  It was a textbook race splitting almost identical 80 second laps before her kick the last 800 meters running a 72 second last lap!

The Warriors hung out after their race earlier in the day to cheer on their old teammate and it didn't go unnoticed, "I heard you guys every lap," Bergman said after her race.  "Thank you everyone that watched me at Stanford!!!  Three years later and you're still the best team ever!"

Bergman is currently ranked #13 in the nation amongst all professional and NCAA runners by USATF, 9th in NCAA Division I. She finished 3rd in the NCAA Division Division I Championships in 2011 and earned All-America honors last fall.
