Jeremy Thompson has been one of the most consistent performers on the Boys team this year jumping an outstanding 45-0 in the triple jump this season.  Under pressure he came up big at the CCS Championships and placed 3rd to earn a spot to the California State Championships.  The Warriors Field Athlete of the Year, Jeremy ends the season as one of just four individuals to jump 45 feet in school history!  Thompson jumped 43-2.75 to finish 21st in the State!

Kristin Sato has always been a stellar athlete.  An outstanding volleyball player in the fall she splits her time with track in the spring between her club volleyball team.  She has shown steady improvement over her first three years jumping 16-4 as a freshman, 17-6 as a Sophomore and now 18-3.25 as a Senior.  Her jump was not only good enough to win CCS and set a school record but put her amongst the top long jumpers in the 50 year history of the CCS.  Her win at the WCAL and CCS Championships is the first ever for a Warriors Long Jumper.   Sato Jumped 17-8.75 to finish tied for 14th in the State!

Shelby Smallwood is loaded with talent and as a freshman has set herself apart as one of the best sprinters of all-time to come through Valley Christian.  Running 12.02 at the CCS Championship, she placed second and punched her ticket to Clovis for the State Championship.  Smallwood is #3 all-time in the 100 meters for the Warriors and #5 all-time in the 200 meters.  This season she also was a member of the school record distance medley relay team at the Arcadia Invitational.  At the State Championships she ran a personal best 12.27 for wind legal races to place 15th over-all and was the top freshman in the field.  An outstanding athlete, student and leader there is much more to come in the years ahead!
