Warriors Advance to CCS Finals

The Valley Christian Warriors competed in the CCS Semi-Finals Saturday.  At the end of the day five Valley Christian Athletes advanced to the CCS Finals that will be held Friday, May 27th at Gilroy High School.

Meet Highlights:

• Kristin Sato finished 6th in the triple jump with a mark of 34-8 and 4th in the Long Jump with a mark of 17-6.  Sato advances to Friday's CCS Finals in both events.
• Shelby Smallwood advances to the finals in both the 100 and 200 meters.  In the 100 meters she finished with the 2nd fastest time of the day with a time of 12.45.  She also finished 5th in the 200 with a time of 25.75.  
• Morgan Lira advances to the final in the 3200 meters finishing 10th in 11:19.95.
• Sean Davis won his heat in the 800 meters to advance to the finals with a time of 1:56.32, which was the second fastest time of the day.  
• Jeremy Thompson finished 4th in the triple jump with a mark of 44-0.5 and also advances to the finals.
• Cal McNabb ran a personal best 50.50 in the 400 meters to finish 13th.  His time ranks him #4 all-time for the Warriors.
