Sydney Clark debuts in the triple jump against Notre Dame |
The Warriors traveled to Serra High School as they reach
half way in the WCAL league schedule. While the wind did not compare to the
gusts on the Valley Christian track the two days prior the stiff headwind on
home straight made it tough for sprinters, and everyone else. Despite the challenging conditions there were
51 season bests on the day and multiple performances that earned marks on the
top performance lists in the WCAL and CCS.
Meet Highlights:
- Eyobed Mesfun moved to #5 all-time on the Warriors winning the 800 meters in 2:06.
- Shelby Smallwood was a double winner taking the 100 and 200 meters. She is currently the top 200 meter runner in the WCAL and ranked in the top 10 in CCS.
- Lydia Sum continues her breakout season and remains undefeated in the WCAL in the 300 meter hurdles. Her win in the triple jump with a mark of 35’3” moves her to #3 all-time for the Warriors. She is currently ranked in the top 10 in CCS in both events.
