Warrior Award: Kellianne Connolly
When you think of a Warrior you think of toughness, perseverance, and someone who can “rally the troops.” Kellianne Connolly is someone who exemplifies these characteristics. Connolly has been a “Warrior” since her 6th grade year and has been an example of dedicated work ethic, leadership and discipline for the team.

Warrior Award: Amy Reyes
Running for the Warriors in Junior High Amy Reyes took a sabbatical of sorts from running and enjoyed a full high school experience including golf, tennis, cheer-leading, ASB and more!  But the Senior returned and had an immediate impact on the team not only as a top runner but as a leader.  She is dedicated, devoted, and an example of discipline.

Freshman of the Year: Vanessa Giacalone
Vanessa began the year running 24:37 on the Toro Park course at the Early Bird Invitational and finished the CCS Championship on that same course in 21:36. Her three minute improvement is in direct relation to her strong drive and competiveness. She earned a varsity spot where she finished the season as the Warriors #6 runner in the WCAL and CCS Championship meets.

Eyobed was the top finisher for the Warriors in every race this season finishing. Mesfun qualified for CCS Championship where he finished 21st; his time of 17:05 places him second all-time. Consistent from start to finish he led the team to five new team records. An outstanding leader on our team his success was a direct result of his work ethic and drive.

Warrior Award: Nathan Lynch
Nathan Lynch was looking for a reason to run and he found it in his team. Lynch began suffering stomach pains about half way through the season and was later diagnosed with cancer. He never wavered in his passion for running for the team continuing to challenge and be a leader through it all. On his way to recovery he remains an active part of this team and by all definitions is a true Warrior!
