Alumni News: Bergman Runs to All-America Honors; Leads Arizona to Sixth Place Finish at NCAA's

Jennifer Bergman ended her senior cross country season  with a second consecutive All-America finish at the Division I NCAA Championship.  Her finish helped Arizona to a 6th place team finish, their highest since 2001.

Bergman has been named to the first team Pac-12 All-Conference for the second year in a row.  Following the Pac-12 Championship she went on to finish 6th at the Western Region meet to qualify for her 4th consecutive NCAA Championship.

A national caliber runner in high school, Bergman qualified for the Footlocker National Championship her senior year.  However at Arizona she has taken her running to another level entirely transforming into an elite athlete on the college and professional scene. She is a two time All-America in cross country and earned All-America honors in track after finishing 3rd in the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Championship in 2010.  She has also met the USATF "B Standard" in 2010 and 2011.
