WCAL Dual: VC @ Serra / Notre Dame Belmont

The early morning downpour turned to sunny skies as the Warriors traveled to Serra High School to face off against in WCAL action.  The winds were active down the home stretch for the sprints but the Warriors powered through with many outstanding performances.

Meet Highlights:
  • Kristin Sato was a four event winner setting season bests in the long jump (17-5.75) and triple jump (33-10).  She also won the 100 meters (13.55) and 300 hurdles (50.36).
  • Jessica Xu won her first high school race leading the mile wire to wire, holding off a late challenge in the final 100 meters winning by a slim 0.07!  Her time was a season best 5:40.05.  She came back later in the day and won the 800 meters (2:40.53).
  • Shannon Luu won three events in the JV girls: 400 (68.53), 200 (29.99), and Triple Jump (29-5).
  • Shelby Smallwood debuted in the 400 meters running 62.01 which is #9 all-time. 
  • The Boys 400 runners have some incredible depth this season with six runners running under 54 second this season!  Lowder (52.68), Severson (53.47), Davis (53.59) and Lawson (53.98) took the top 4 places!
  • The Boys 4 x 100 meter relay set a season best 44.26, a time which ranks them #6 all-time for the Warriors and is currently ranked in the top 20 in CCS.
  • Theodore King threw a personal best of 45-6.5, his first time over 45 feet!
