WCAL Dual: Valley Christian @ Bellarmine

The Warriors traveled to Bellarmine High School in downtown San Jose Wednesday for the the second WCAL meet of the season.  While Bellarmine and Presentation dwarf the Warriors in numbers that didn't stop many from accomplishing some amazing performances.  Here are just some of the highlights:
  • Daniel Jackson won the Shot Put with a throw of 44-6.5 which currently ranks him #1 for the Warriors.
  • Jeremy Thompson won the triple jump with a mark of 43-5.  His jump of 45-0 last week Vs. SI is currently the top mark in the section.
  • Bryon Houp finished second in the 100 meters with a time of 11.21.  That places him past Ryan Severson (11.22) for the team lead and ranks him #5 in the CCS.
  • Eyobed Mesfun breaks 5 min for the first time in the 1600.  Alex Ascencio closes in with a 5:02.
  • Shelby Smallwood runs away from the field in the 200 running 25.73.  That puts her #7 all-time for the Warriors and #3 in the CCS.
  • Kristin Sato won her debut at 300 hurdles in a time of 50.23, currently #8 in the CCS. She also won the long jump & triple jump and took second in the 100 meters with a 13.09 season best.
  • Morgan Lira won the 3200 in 11:07, a personal best which is currently the #1 time in CCS.
  • Girls 4 x 400 relay team of Dilfer, Smallwood, Garcia & Blaha won in 4:17.84, currently #4 in CCS.
