K-Bell Invitational

The Valley Christian Warriors took a small group to the the K-Bell Invitational Saturday and turned in some outstanding early season results with everyone earning a season or personal best.  Some highlights of the day:
  • There seems to be something about the number nine for sophomore Ryan Severson!  He raced to a 9th place finish in the Varsity Boys 100 meters with a time of 11.22.  His time currently ranks him 9th in the CCS and 9th on the Warriors All-Time list.
  • One of the best races of the day for the Warriors was the boys 400 meters which saw Bryon Houp and Cal McNabb both reach the podium finishing 2nd and 3rd respectably.  Houp's time of 50.79 is currently ranked 4th in section while McNabb is right behind ranked 5th with his 50.84 time, which is was also his personal best time. 
  • The 200 meters saw more outstanding performances as Bryon Houp again took second with a personal best time of 22.35.  Ryan Severson also doubled back and finished 6th with a time of 22.84, also a personal best. 
  • Theodore King bettered his best throw of the year hitting 43-6.5 finishing 11th.  His mark ranks him 3rd all time for the Warriors.
