Alumni News: Bergman Leads Arizona to 2nd Place Finish at Pac 10

Jennifer Bergman, Valley Christian Graduate (Class of 2009),  led the University Arizona Wildcats to a second place finish at the Pac 10 Championship this weekend in Washington.  The Wildcats, who are currently ranked 6th in the Country [editors note, after this race they are ranked 3rd in the Country!]  came within 3 points of the title that was won by Stanford University.

The race was the closest in Pac-10 history as 4 teams were separated by a mere 6 points. Bergman finished the 6,000 meter race in 20:15 to finish 7th place over-all, a blistering 5:25 pace per mile!  The University of Arizona will attempt to qualify for their second consecutive NCAA Championship at the West Regional Championship in Eugene Oregon on November 13th.
