Varsity Boys Breakthrough at WCAL #2

The Varsity Boys looked impressive in the second WCAL meet of the season at Shoreline Wednesday.  Led by Ryan Ensor, the boys finished 7th, their best finish of the season.  Ensor’s 17:41 was good enough for 29th place in the Varsity race and currently ranks him #3 on the Warriors All-Time list.  It was a total team performance however, Dustin Laucella ran a personal best of 18:53 while Alex Ascencio (19:13), Alex George (19:17), and Andrew McCann (19:22) all ran personal bests to help the team run one of their most impressive races of the season.

For the girls, freshman Karen Mac led the Varsity team with a superb performance finishing the three miles in 21:54, her first sub 22 min of the season!  Her time ranks her #15 on the Warriors all-time list and is the 6th fastest freshman in Valley Christian history on the Shoreline course.  She was followed by Shannon Luu (23:25), Megan Gillespie (23:37), and Veronica Lane (24:34) who rounded out the scoring team.
